The first lens that I bought for my current Fujifilm kit was the XF 35mm F2 R WR. It was a lens that I purchased because I needed a lens to go with my X-Pro2 and I wanted a ~50mm equivalent prime. The 35mm F/2 R WR was available in the kit with the X-Pro2 and so I went with that option. I was, however, extremely unsure of the unique lens design and was not sure if F/2 would be enough to satisfy my needs. Boy did this lens turn me on my head and turn me from a skeptic to a believe right quick.
The long-term Fujifilm XF 35mm F/2 R WR Review is complete and I have just published it to my website. If you are interested in checking out you can head on over to my reviews index to find it, here. Here is a quick excerpt:
I am late getting to this review, so I can say without a doubt after almost a year now with the 35mm F/2 R WR that this is one of the best lenses currently available in the Fujifilm lineup. The combination of speed, AF accuracy, image quality and build quality makes this one the the – in my opinion – must have lenses in the Fuji system. Yes, you loose out on a little bokeh and DoF from the F/1.4 version, but for this lens the advantages far outweigh those slight disadvantages.
